Perth County Kitchens - Events

Thank you for your interest in events at our Shared-Use Kitchen locations!

Our goal is to connect you with Perth County's fine producers so you can learn where your food comes from and support the families that grow it. We hope that our events are the first step in establishing long-lasting relationships between farmers and consumers.

We recognize that when you start with fresh, local, and/or seasonal ingredients, your food is just going to taste better. Add to that some fun classes for adults and kids, delivered by industry experts and you have a recipe for no-fail superior taste.

Kids classes are divided into age ranges and programming is developed accordingly. Kids will have fun learning kitchen safety and safe food handling while becoming more confident and capable in the kitchen with simple but delicious recipes.

Teens can participate in more complex programming that further expands on their current knowledge of food preparation.

Adults will enjoy learning some traditional techniques for preparing and preserving locally-sourced ingredients. Whether taking part in a honey tasting, an expert-lead pickling and preserving session, making delicious artisanal breads with alternative flours or learning ways to stretch the almighty food dollar with proper preparation of less expensive cuts of meat, participants will develop more confidence in the kitchen and will leave with skills that will enhance the pleasure of eating home-cooked meals.
