Agriculture BR&E Underway

The County is currently undertaking a Business Retention and Expansion project for the Agricultural Sector, that involves interviewing over 100 farm and food processing businesses.  If you are interested in participating in the study please contact Jordan Hypes:

The study is expected to be completed by September 31, 2012, when it will be available to the public.

Short term objectives included:
• To provide community support for local businesses
• To identify and address immediate business concerns.

Long term objectives included:
• To increase the competitiveness of agriculture sector
• To establish Strategic objectives to support and grow the sector
• To increase business growth and job creation
• To increase community capacity

 

Manufacturing and Retail BR&E

In 2007, the County of Perth launched a two phased BR+E project. Phase I saw the Retail and Business sector surveyed in 2007; the Manufacturing, Industrial and Trades sector were surveyed in 2008 in Phase II for a total of 287 business participants.
